Chairman: Harry E. Pinker, Jr.
Coming from a family of hunters, I started hunting at the age of 12 with my dad, uncles, and friends. I have always loved to shoot.22 rifles, just because they’re fun to plink with and inexpensive to shoot.
I hope to help junior shooters to learn firearm safety while having fun. I would love to help them improve their shooting skills and build their confidence. Due to no recoil and lack of noise, a .22 rifle is a perfect way to get into the sport of target shooting and hunting. This will also be a great way to get to know new people and have some fun.
This event has traditionally been a great hit with people of all ages and a nice way for youth to transition from an air rifle or pellet gun to the next stage of their firearms learning and skill.
We will be shooting 5 animal silhouettes at each station, at 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. This is 20 shots total.
You will use only 1 rifle.
You must knock the silhouette over for your shot to count as a hit. Each silhouette hit is a point.
At the end, we’ll add up the scores and see how we did!
